It's late again.
I nearly forgot,
to write the thing,
I've been thinking of,
for such a long time -
Poems are such a lovely thing.
When one begins,
to compose on a whim,
Oftentimes what appears,
is not what you intended.
Such is my fate,
For, lo, it is late,
An now my poem has ended.

Limerick
The rain falls outside my window.
It doesn’t appear to dwindle.
I could start to write,
Or maybe I might,
Sit down and play with my Kindle.

Iambic Pentameter
The rain beats softly on my window pane,
Wet feet and red noses we soon will gain,
Could not soon, the sun begin to appear?
Else, doom and gloom shall be my lot, I fear.
